Esenyurt Mercedes-Benz Factory Artificial Turf Maintenance

At Avengrass, we believe that a sports field deserves attention throughout its working life. Our artificial turf maintenance project at the Mercedes-Benz Factory in Esenyurt, Istanbul, reflects this approach. We focused on the existing football field and its surroundings, bringing surface care and perimeter renewal together within the same project.

The artificial grass had experienced wear through use over time. We carried out maintenance and added granules to the playing surface, addressing the needs of the existing turf. For us, caring for a football field means considering how its components work together, rather than looking only at its appearance. The fibres, infill and surrounding elements all contribute to the everyday experience of people using the space.

Our work also included renewal of the field perimeter with galvanized wire mesh. We approached this surrounding area as an integral part of the sports facility, paying attention to its role in defining the playing space and supporting an orderly environment. Combining these works allowed us to consider the field as a whole, from its artificial grass surface to its boundaries.

We see workplace sports areas as valuable places for employees to meet, move and share time outside their daily routines. A maintained football field can support informal matches, team activities and the simple pleasure of playing together. This human aspect gives meaning to the care we bring to our projects.
