Features of Green Grass
We have compiled all the curious features of synthetic green grass models for you. Let’s examine all the details together. Grass blades of astro turf can be formed from three different materials: polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyamide (PA). Polyamide is marketed as an auxiliary fiber, and its blend with polypropylene provides good quality to astro turf. However, a synthetic grass dominated by polyethylene is very resistant to weather conditions and abrasion. The height of the grass blades directly affects the processing of astro turf. Grass blades from 6 to 20 mm look like freshly mowed grass. Since it is more hygienic, it is a choice that should be used for indoor use. Beyond 25 mm, the blades of grass look like a meadow. The weight of astro turf should be taken into account because we can say that the heavier, more dense synthetic grass is of much better quality. Tensile strength is measured in Newtons (N). 80 Newton tensile strength is minimum. Unfilled synthetic grass is used on terraces, indoors, balconies, roof terraces, etc. It is extremely suitable for use. A filled astro turf provides a better surface and more flexibility. It reduces the wounds caused by the falls of small children. For this reason, filled synthetic grass is placed on all surfaces in children’s areas. Different colors are available in synthetic grass. In addition, the use of astro turf can be indoor or outdoor. In outdoor areas, UV-resistant synthetic grass is preferred; if it is placed next to the swimming pool, anti-chlorine is preferred. Drainage holes for astro turf are a selection criterion to prevent water stagnation from occurring. Astro turf with a permeability level of 30 / min / m² (liter of water per minute per square meter) provides satisfactory drainage. In addition, astro turf must be fixed firmly and effectively.
