01/04/2022
The hydrid grass is obtained by mixing natural grass with artificial grass to ensure the use of more robust and longer term. Hydrite grass production, which emerged in 1990, takes place today with different applications. In the first application, it is mixed with a mixture of artificial grass and sand while the grass roots are growing. It is possible hybrid grass installation both in the garden of the houses and in large areas such as stadiums. Hydrid grass is more flexible and regenerates faster than normal grass. this allows it to be used for a longer period in sports facilities. However, since hybrid grass consists of synthetic fibers, it requires a little more special care than artificial and natural grass. Avantages of hybrid grass stadium:
- It is resistant to wear and tear,
- It shows the homogeneous distribution in the whole field,
- Increases the shear strength of the surface,
- It is looks like natural grass,
- Increases game time,
- It does not require special care,
- It is easy to repair the damage.
There are two methods to add these fibers to the root zone. The first of these methods is a hydrid treatment, and the second is a pre-hydrid treatment.
- First Method
We add the fibers with the tufting machine and the hybridization operation is taking place. Thanks to this process, we get a 3 times more robust lawn. These hybrid grasses are generally designed for large stadiums. With a large grass sewing machine, polypropylene fibers are planted under 200 mm of natural lawns. In this way, the growth of artificial grass (polypropylene grass) around the natural grassroots. Synthetic fibers are located just below natural grasses. By supporting natural grass, increases the robustness of the grass. With this reinforcement, which was added to the root area of the grass, the athlete is getting rid of the adverse effect of the floor and moving faster and more directions.
- Second Method
The mixture of synthetic fibers and sand is germinated in the nursery garden and then placed on the sports field. This hydrid treatment is also called the Fibresand method.
- Thanks to this grass, which is laid especially in stadiums, it provides the oxidation and permeability of the surface layer by creating an ideal air-water-soil balance.
- It prevents the formation of muddy areas or the accumulation of water.
- It guarantees stability, permeability, and maximum safety for athletes.
Hybrid grass is a hidden and perfect artificial grass screen that supports the birth, growth, and development of natural grass. A hybrid grass stadium is used where teams such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, FIFA and UEFA, VE DFB matches are held, as it is easy to use and allows the athletes to move more easily. Stitched hybrid grass is used in stadiums in major matches such as the World Cup and the European Cup. In Turkey, after hydrating Beşiktaş fields for the first time, hydrid turf started to be used in Fenerbahçe fields as of 2017.
